Library Spring Cleaning

As it’s January and a new year, my mind tends to switch into spring-cleaning mode. I’ve been saying for ages that I’m not going to get rid of any books from my library, but I’ve got the point where I’ve read a bunch of books which I don’t think I’ll read again (mainly ones I’ve bought in charity shops or which have been passed to me from my mother) so there’s not much point keeping them.

So I’ve been brutal and pulled a load of books off my shelves which are now destined for the charity shop.

The novels that have been culled are:

The Marriage Bureau for Rich People” by Farahad Zama

The Serious Game” by Hjalmar Söderberg

Mansfield Revisited” by Joan Aiken

One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Death in the Truffle Woods” by Pierre Morgan

The Irresistible Inheritance of Wilberforce” by Paul Torday

The Language of Others” by Clare Morrall

The  Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas” by Gertrude Stein

And I’ve also got rid of some non-fiction books:

York Notes for “Atonement” by Ian McEwan

Hidden Words: Collected Poems” by Spike Milligan

My shelves actually look a lot tidier now after a quick re-shuffle to fill up the gaps!

Or maybe not, they still look messy but it’s better than they were!
