Never mind Pokemon Go…. how about a Harry Potter inspired app?

As the “Pokemon Go” app game is pretty massive at the moment, it got me thinking about what else you could play a similar game with. Obviously, my mind turned to Harry Potter!

How cool would it be to have a similar app where you look for magical creatures!

I was looking through “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” by Newt Scamander (I’m talking about the book JK Rowling wrote for Comic Relief back in 2001) and it classifies magical creatures from common to rare, and there’s a lot of them!

So you could easily find a Doxy hiding in your bedroom, a Gnome in your garden, or a Kneazle wandering around your street. Then you might need to venture further afield to find rarer creatures and find a Phoenix hiding in the mountains, a Thestral in the woods, or even a Kappa in your local duck pond!

As there’s going to be the new film “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” coming out soon, we may even get introduced to some brand new creatures!
