I’ve got that feeling that every book lover hates: You’re reading a series and you know there are only 2 books left and you’re already dreading reading the end!

I’m re-reading my way through C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” series and I had forgotten how utterly brilliant it is! I’m finding myself reading the books a bit too quickly for my liking but I can’t help it when they’re so good!

It’s been at least 10 years since I last read the series and I’d forgotten what happens in the majority of the series, only really remembering what happens in the most popular book “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”. Obviously, I’ve now been reminded of what happens in the rest, but it also sort of feels like I’m reading the whole series for the first time… again! Really odd!

The sadness comes now that I’m about to start the 6th book in the series, knowing that the Pevensie children have come to the end of their adventures in Narnia, and I remember not being too keen on  the last 2 books the first time around. I’m trying to just read it and not get hung up on the fact that I’m nearly finished reading about Narnia!

I’ll write a proper post about the series when I’ve finished re-reading it! It’s definitely one of those series which I’m going to feel like I have to read again once I’ve finished it!

I get this way every time I re-read Harry Potter. I read so quickly through the first four or five and then when I get to the final two I drag them out over weeks!
