My Publishing Work Placement Diary Day 1+2

Posted: March 18, 2014 in Uncategorized

I started my work experience placement at a publishing house in London yesterday. It’s very weird being in an office, especially in London.

So far, i have done photocopying, packed some new books ready to be sent to the British library archive, hand-delivered a book to a national newspaper for an article on an author, copied recipes into new documents, searched for images and formatted them.

As i’m in London, i’ve also been exploring the city. So far i’ve just been shopping for new trousers, and, of course, books! I neglected to bring books down here due to lack of space in my suitcase (and wanting new ones!) so i found Waterstones London Oxford Street and bought ‘Wool’ by Hugh Howey and ‘Waiting for Wednesday’ by Nicci French.

I’ll update my progress later in the week!
