About Me
My name is Emma (AKA bluebookbelle) and I am trying to get into book publishing! I graduated from UCLAN in 2011 after studying a Masters in Publishing, and i’m now trying to find a job!
My undergraduate degree was in English Literature and English language which i graduated from in 2010. I love reading, and I like intellectual conversations about literature and many other things. I like blogging about developments in the publishing industry and matters concerning the Digital Revolution, but also reviewing the books i have read.
I like reading Young Adult fiction, a bit of crime, the odd classic, dystopian/utopian fiction, fantasy, popular fiction, the very occasional chick lit, etc. I like challenging books, but i still like easy books. I also like glossy hardbacks with photos in them, mainly architectural ones! Most books i’ll try once!!
I review book manuscripts in my spare time for a small publisher, which is interesting as i get something different each time!
I am also into translated fiction, after having written on the subject for my Masters dissertation, and i definitely think we should be reading more of this! I also have an interest in languages, and am trying to improve my French and German skills!
I’m quite pleased that Jo Fletcher Books published one of my book reviews on their website! Review of Handling The Undead

Hi there, just wanted to say thank you for stopping by and liking my post. And best of luck with your publishing career!
Hi. *waves nervously*
I was wondering, and only if you have a few moments to spare of course, I would hate to to be a bother, but would you prehaps consider giving my website a glance over. I’m writing an online story alongside my works which I hope to publish later on. Henry is a sort of experiment to see what sort of reaction my writing will get but I’m struggeling to find people who have a keen passion for books to have a look at the work. If it’s not too much trouble, I would really appriciate it.
Thank you and good luck with the career, your reviewing style is lovely to read.
Love your blog! I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award – here’s the info: http://thoughtsonmybookshelf.wordpress.com/2012/05/06/mission-accomplished-just-call-me-versatile/
